Andrew C. Yates
Partner

Andrew Yates comes to SSG with an impressive list of successful campaigns in his background. His acumen in government and politics, along with his no holds barred work ethic, is well respected by all his former clients and employers. As a 2011 graduate of Clemson University, he hit the ground running as an intern with Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) working with the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, where he worked in research involving the infamous Fast and Furious scandal along with various other duties.

Yates then served in a position with the Romney-Ryan Campaign in the key battleground state of Virginia and immersed himself in grassroots and field operations for the campaign. He moved from that position to serve as the Political Director for a county council chairman’s special election. After a successful campaign in Myrtle Beach, he took a position as Chief Account Manager of all major accounts at the Palladian Group, a SC based marketing, development, and technology company based in Spartanburg, SC.

Seeing a challenge in the Republican primaries for Senator Lindsey Graham, and loving “hands on” politics, he quickly moved into action and took the position as Upstate Regional Director for Lindsey’s Senate campaign. From there, he moved on to a position with the NRA-ILA as the Georgia State Director overseeing campaign operations in a tightly contested but winning Senate race with other smaller contests as well.

Andrew recently moved to Charleston, SC to set up shop in the Holy City. He joined Sherlock & Associates Consulting, taking on several public affairs accounts with local, state, and national implications. He most recently served as the Deputy State Director for Carson America, Inc. where he oversaw all aspects of the campaign in the Low Country and the Horry County area.

Andrew S. Holt
Director of Campaign Operations

His exceptional understanding of both grassroots organization along with utilizing voter data has allowed him to run efficient and effective campaigns. A graduate of Clemson University in the spring of 2015, Andrew started working in the political realm during his junior year. Following the success of the primary, he joined Texas AG Greg Abbott’s race for Governor as the East Texas field representative to succeed Governor Rick Perry. While in Texas, Andrew worked tirelessly to build the volunteer network that was necessary to win against the “Battleground Texas” democratic movement. After another victory, Andrew returned to Clemson to finish his degree in Political Science and graduated on time with his class.

Post graduation, Andrew joined the S.C. Republican primary and worked for Dr. Ben Carson both a Field and Coalitions Director. Holt lives in Greenville with his best friend and trusted sidekick, Tahoe, a rescued German Shepard mix.
